My first Elvis Week event was cancelled last night due to rain. Really sad too because it was going to be a recreation of Elvis’ first show at the Overton Park shell followed by a showing of Jailhouse Rock. But it rained hard for about an hour or so before the event was supposed to start and the park was flooded. The only event I had planned for today was a meetup at Marlowe’s restaurant. I wasn’t really in the mood, so I didn’t go. I will start my Elvis Week tomorrow and have events through Sunday.
