Drums – my Music A to Z
I love drums! I love drummers! When I listen to music, all I hear is drums and lyrics. That is what moves me – literally and figuratively. I am the one at the concert watching the drummer and not the lead singer or guitarist. When I first moved to Memphis, one of the first places I visited was the Memphis Drum Shop. My love of drums and drummers started when I discovered U2 and Larry Mullen Jr, more on him later. One of my favorite quotes is “It’s All About Drums.” The first time I heard it was on the Achtung Baby documentary when Larry said, “I don’t think the lyrics are worth a shit to be honest if you ask me, I think it’s all about drums.” -at the end of the following video at 7:06:
This blog post is part of my A to Z April Challenge about ‘My Music’ – music I love from A to Z. Thanks for stopping by. I am also blogging the A to Z Challenge on my other blog On the Road with U2 about ‘My U2′ – what I love about U2 from A to Z. Because I love drums SO much, this time the same exact post is also on my other blog for D.
I love drums, too, and wish I knew how to play!

We all have rhythm inside us, from the beat of our eyelashes to the thump of our hearts! I actually blogged on drums for D too, but in a slightly different way – drumming for a cure. Be sure to check it out! 🙂
