I obviously love Elvis’ music, but I also equally enjoy his movies. For some reason, it just occurred to me to read books about Elvis’ movie career. David Bret’s Elvis the Hollywood Years was my second book on the subject – bad choice. I did not enjoy this book. Bret did not offer any new insights about Elvis’ movie career. Also, his book is filled with inaccuracies such as referring to Red and Sonny West as brothers instead of cousins and referring to Frank Sinatra and his crew as the Brat Pack instead of the Rat Pack. Come on now!
