After just 4 hours of sleep, driving 500 miles while listening to 7.5 hours of Elvis radio, I’m back in Memphis.

We left Bristol at 4:45am eastern standard time. I couldn’t sleep, so I thought we might as well get on the road.

We stopped once just east of Knoxville. It was a tough drive, surviving on sweet tea to get me through. But I like driving route 40 in Tennessee a lot better than 81 through Virginia.

We arrived home around 11:15am central standard time. Elvis and Cilla have slept the entire day. I have been catching up on my dvr, mostly 3 weeks of As the World Turns. Tomorrow I’ll get back to reality, after hopefully a good night’s sleep.
