WEVL’s Blues on the Bluff 7.24.10

Listening to Blues along the Mississippi River on a hot summer night. That was last night at WEVL’s 22nd annual Blues on the Bluff at the National Ornamental Metal Museum.

WEVL is an all volunteer radio station in Memphis with diverse programming. I decided to help the cause and become a member, as well as sign up to volunteer. As a result, I got a cool tee shirt, poster and bumper sticker.

Last night’s fundraiser Blues on the Bluff featured memphis bands Last Chance Jug Band, the Bo-Keys and the Eric Deaton Trio. They performed in the National Ornamental Metal Museum’s Riverbluff Pavilion, which was made from a building from 1800s Beale Street.

Along with the great music and great food by Central BBQ, there were some great views.
