I am back to writing my Big Brother blog. I faithfully wrote updates during Big Brother 16, mostly because I loved Derrick. I never really got into Big Brother 17 last year. I mean I watched every episode, but not much of the live feeds. I have a feeling Big Brother 18 is going to be good. I am of course hoping for some sort of All Stars as I do every year or returning players or at the very least all Super Fans – I don’t think recruits that have never even watched the show should play. I started watching Big Brother with season 3 (but of course have gone back to watch season 2) and have not missed an episode since.
To get me in the mood for the new season of Big Brother, I am rewatching past seasons on cbs.com. I have watched seasons 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 a lot as they are my favorite seasons (along with 16 now). I was inspired by the marathon CBS.com is running on the live feeds: every season nonstop until the Big Brother 18 debut on June 22. But since I cannot watch 24 hours a day and there is no pause button, I have to stream the episodes. I am going to start with Season 2 as Season 1 wasn’t really Big Brother – it was more like just watching people talk in a house. I watched some of it on the Live Feeds and that was enough for me – can’t believe it was on five days a week back then. I would love if it were that way now.
I will be starting with season 2 this weekend, this long 3-day holiday weekend, and I will write a recap after. Actually, it will probably be more like my thoughts about the season more than a recap of what happened. I can already tell you I think they should go back to having people with various ages, rather than everyone in their 20s and early 30s. Hopefully I can get through most of the seasons (writing my recap after each) before the new season of Big Brother starts on June 22 – and then I will have current episode recaps or weekly recaps (haven’t decided yet).
