My night with the Grizzlies – from the good seats!
The Memphis Grizzlies lost to the Portland Trailblazers last night 100-99, but it was still a great game and I had a fantastic view of it! Yesterday afternoon I got an email from my account exec with the Grizzlies saying she was going to upgrade my seat for the Portland game and leave my ticket at Will Call. My regular season ticket seat is way up top in the corner, but in the first row. So I figured any upgrade would be an improvement.
I picked up my ticket and was shocked to see its price of $227! Was I on the bench with the players? No, but I was about 10 rows off the court. An amazing seat – and quite a deal considering I only paid $10. I had to look up at the scoreboard – usually I’m looking down. I don’t know how I’m ever going to go back to my regular seat.
It was like a whole other game from this view. I could actually hear the players and see their faces – I actually heard the slap of a foul. It was a great game, even though we lost. It was back and forth the entire game – so close. I really enjoyed watching the hustle of Greivis Vasquez and Rudy Gay. Vasquez went to Maryland and Gay is from Baltimore. Maybe I’m biased?
Thank you Memphis Grizzlies for upgrading me to such a terrific seat! I really appreciate it and had a fantastic time! Please watch my video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHhxz-u8gSg
