I went to the Juke Joint Festival in Clarksdale, Mississippi today. I listened to great blues, watched documentaries and took a tour of Clarksdale. I arrived at the Crossroads just after 11am, so it was easy to get around downtown Clarksdale and I got a great parking space at the Delta Blues Museum [continue reading]
I left the house at 9am Tuesday March 2nd heading south to Mississippi. First stop was Jackson. It wasn’t what I expected. Just another city, but there were some notable sites. I celebrated Mardi Gras by attending the Grizzlies game and then onto Beale Street. I was going to go to the parade, but it was too cold. The Grizzlies game was terrible. We lost to the Suns.
