Day 2 of Vegas was fantastic! Didn’t lose much at the slots, waited in lines a lot and saw NKOTB!

We had breakfast at Paris. Our great waitor Dennis brought me panackes and the best unsweetened iced tea – so strong!

We then went to the new Planet Hollywood casino, well new to us anyway. We played the slots there for about 4 hours, and I played Elvis for about half of it.

Then we went to Ballys. Had lunch downstairs in the ‘mall,’ but the pizza was yummy! Nothing like $17. for 2 slices cheese pizza, ceasar salad and iced tea. We played more slots. It was the end of the day, I was down to $5 in my wallet and I hit an $185. bonus on Hot Shot progressive – my new favorite game. So today I only lost $55 – a big improvement from yesterday.

Dressed in my Jordan Boyfriend tee shirt, I took the free shuttle from Ballys to Rio and then walked to the Palms for New Kids on the Block concert – my whole reason for coming to Vegas. Not that I need a reason to come to Vegas. I was in the GA line at the Pearle Theatre by 6:15 and not too far back.

I stood at the stage on the side. SO close! The concert was great and better musically than it was when I saw them last July in Memphis, but it was shorter (only 1 hour 15 minutes) and I wasn’t crazy excited like last year. New Kids on the Block was my first concert ever. I was 17 going on 18. I was SO excited last year, 19 years later, during their show – lots of screaming. Didn’t really scream too much tonight. I did touch Jordan though. Step By Step is still my favorite, but the acoustic version of Single was fantastic!

NKOTB invited everyone to their after party at Rain – free admission with our concert ticket. This is a place I would never ever go to, but since Jordan was going to be there so was I. The concert was over at 9:15, and Rain didn’t open until 10:30 – waited in line again. Inside was everything I hate – wall to wall pushy drunk whores and jackasses. Finally at midnight Jordan, Danny, Joey, Donnie and Jon arrived – and went to opposite end of the room from where I was. Oh well. From their balcony, I got to see Jordan dance, Danny flirt, Donnie work the crowd and Joey make out with his wife. I have no idea where Jon went.

Around 12:30, I couldn’t take it anymore. Too tired to walk back to Rio to grab the last free shuttle, I took a cab back to Ballys. Hadn’t eaten since 2pm or drank since 5pm, so I drank 2 bottles of water and ate a little candy when I got back to the room. Poor Cindy had to listen to me gush about my night with the New Kids.
